Performance Features
Waterproof
Norwegian Wool coats feature a waterproof membrane that seals up the porosity within the outer layer of the wool, cashmere or silk, rendering the fabric fully waterproof and capable of withstanding harsh, wet conditions. This physical membrane, which functions as a real 'moisture- blocker', is carefully bonded to the outer fabric at the earliest stages of production, pre-cutting. The fabric is then fully rolled out in a special temperature-controlled facility and is left to sit for an extended period of time to fully adapt and co-exist with the new membrane. This ensures that the end fabric retains a strong level of stretchiness. The ultimate result is a luxury fabric that feels soft and comfortable but is now designed to repel rain, sleet and snow.
Down-Lined
Our insulated coats are lined with authentic white duck down at a blend of 90% down + 10% feathers. This is the ultimate combination which achieves a tremendous level of warmth for when it is cold outside but is quite light-weight, compact and breathable for more mild days or for when worn indoors. Additionally, our down fill is blown into individual inner pouches underneath the top lining to achieve a 'double sac' that prevents down leakage and retains the full insulation for many seasons of wearing.
Made in Italy
We manufacture most of our styles in our Tuscan facility that is located outside Florence, Italy. All of our fabrics are 100% Italian and come from the country's best and most specialized mills. We value the Italian appreciation for attention to detail and their world class craftsmanship.

Pockets
We take pockets very seriously! We understand pockets play a crucial role in everyday practical wear. So, we make sure that our hand pockets are extra deep, lined with a cozy fleece material and are designed so that you won't need gloves. We also add extra internal pockets for carrying belongings.
Comfortable Fit
We believe that being comfortable is luxurious. Our Men's and Women's coats are designed so that they can be worn comfortably over suits, blazers or chunky sweaters. We also utilize stretch technology within our fabrics so that our coats are easy-to-wear while sitting down, commuting, walking or during other real life activities.
Lightweight
Our coats are designed to be light on the body and are easy to carry or pack for travel. We line our winter coats with special, high-grade, authentic down-fill which is very light weight while still being extremely insulating against harsh conditions. Through utilizing custom made windproof membranes, we are also able to achieve a highlevel of wind-chill repellance without adding bulk.
Tailoring
Norwegian Wool coats are designed so that additional alterations can be made if needed to achieve a truly tailored fit. Our winter coats feature sleeves that can easily be shortened or lengthened at any high-quality tailor. The down quilting is designed with many small individual pouches so that alterations can be made to the body of the coat as well.
